“Many hands make light work” and what better way is there than to join into your community on a more social manner – all while still serving your parish.  Better still, you are becoming an active member of our ‘parish family’ whilst meeting new people.

Somascan Youth & Young Adults Group

This is a Youth and Young Adult Ministry founded on the Somascan charism of caring and catechising the youth in the community.

We are a group of passionate young people who gather to pray, support each other in our faith journey, participate in parish activities, fundraise and contribute to church missions.

Our Young Adults meet every Tuesday in St Joseph’s Moorebank Parish Hall at 7:30pm. Our program includes Lectio Divina (Gospel Reflection), Catechesis/Q&A, Devotions and Mission Nights.

Our Pre-Teens and Teens meet every Saturday evening in St Joseph’s Moorebank Parish Hall at 6pm for Food, Faith and Fellowship.

New members are always welcome. Please feel free to join us.

If you have any questions please contact Fr Chris CRS at [email protected].

Fundraising Committee

The role of the St Christopher’s Fundraising Committee is to help plan, organise and deliver fundraising activities for the parish with the help of parishioner volunteers. They aim to deliver a multitude of activities that will appeal to a wide cross section of all our parishioners, that will enhance social interaction thus further grow and enrich our parish community.

Funds are raised for the immediate upkeep of the Church and surrounds, for possible future upgrading of the Church and hall, and to support the various ministries of the Parish.  This committee works in close consultation with the Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Committee.

Membership to the fundraising committee is always open to innovative and creative parishioners but more importantly will be relying on energetic and willing volunteers.

If you fit into any of these categories or you would just like to meet new people while helping our Parish grow, the Fundraising Committee would love to hear from you.
